The Cantonment Public School and College Mosque in Rangpur showcases a striking contemporary design rooted in local materiality, utilizing a dominant red brick facade. The exterior features a prominent arched entrance with perforated brick screens, a distinct cylindrical corner structure, and a cluster of circular roof skylights. Inside, expressive flared concrete columns support an exposed ceiling, where natural light pours through overhead circular apertures. The prayer hall’s focal point is a grand arched mihrab seamlessly integrating wooden bookshelves, set against a continuous brick wall adorned with golden Arabic calligraphy. Highly polished floors and a spacious palm-lined entry plaza complete this serene, geometrically balanced spiritual sanctuary.
