RESORT

Coral Station was designed keeping nature in mind. The goal of this project was to preserve and emphasize the natural environment of the site, which was achieved by using recycled material such as reclaimed wood from decommissioned ships. Also, the focus was to keep alive natural environment by using raw materials and providing breathtaking panoramic views through large openings. The functions include a restaurant, a resort, and a souvenir shop. Completed in January 2020, Coral Station has become a popular spot among tourists and locals alike. The site is at Patuartek Sea Beach in Inani, Cox's Bazar. The Marine Drive runs by it while the Bay of Bengal is on its west side and hills on its east. This results in a naturally diverse topography which was utilized by providing stepped platforms so that every zone can have views of the Bay of Bengal. In the restaurant, both shaded and outdoor dining areas can host up to 250 people, and an open kitchen serves them all. At the back of the site, cottages designed on raised platforms, provide views of hills and the sea while having sufficient privacy from the restaurant.
